This project compared the whole life costs of two alternative methods of construction for eight homes to be built at a site in Corsley, 5km west of Warminster in Wiltshire.
Using the CAMS Decision Support Tool (DST) version 2, our analysis demonstrated that over the whole life, modular built homes would provide better value for money for both the council and the tenants.
This project was another successful example of how the CAMS DST can be used to assist in the selection of best value methods of construction for new homes, taking into account all life cycle costs.
